Book Today - President Lincoln's Cottage Interiors and Exhibits
A Scenic Setting for Your Special Day!
Built in 1842, this Gothic Revival-style mansion was a treasured sanctuary for President Abraham Lincoln and his family from 1862 to 1864. He spent a quarter of his presidency in residence here and made momentous decisions that defined his presidency—including drafting the Emancipation Proclamation.
This inspiring home features handsome original woodwork, marble fireplaces, an inviting veranda, and expansive green lawns bordered by impressive trees, including a large Osage orange and magnolia. Our spaces can easily accommodate intimate nuptials as well as large receptions for weddings or conferences! We also offer bookings for corporate off-sites, team building, and retreats.
You can expect a personal and tailored experience, with just one rental event scheduled per day, on-site museum staff for cocktail hour, and use of the bandstand, lawns, and other outdoor spaces--and more!
We have ample free, on-site parking and our spaces are ADA-accessible. The Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center and exhibits remain open for guests to enjoy at their leisure.
