Spring 2019 Edition
This year, we encourage visitors to discover the real DC, created by the people who live here: our artists, theater community, musicians, athletes, restaurateurs and creators. Spring celebrates many of these local stars through family-friendly festivals, events and openings.
We look forward to welcoming the world to DC for the nation’s largest springtime celebration, the National Cherry Blossom Festival (March 20-April 14) where locals, visitors and families can see the city in bloom well beyond the cherry trees that line the Tidal Basin. Other noteworthy events to keep on your radar include Passport DC, DC Bike Ride and the National Memorial Day Parade. On May 11, the International Spy Museum will open its doors after relocating to L’Enfant Plaza, between the National Mall and The Wharf. Visitors will be wowed by double the space dedicated to espionage.
