Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) Show Visit (March 3-4, Seattle, WA)

The International Antiviral Society–USA (IASUSA) hosts a number of educational workshops and multi-day conferences in the fields of HIV, Hepatitis C virus and other viral infections. One of these, the CROI, gathers top basic, translational and clinical researchers from around the world to share the latest studies, important developments and best research methods in the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS and related infectious diseases. DDC met with IASUSA’s Executive Director and Director of Operations at the Washington State Convention Center to discuss opportunities to host this meeting and others in DC.
ConferenceDirect Annual Partner Meeting (March 3-7, Atlanta, GA)

The annual partner meeting hosted by ConferenceDirect was an opportunity to engage in quality face-to-face time with more than 200 ConferenceDirect associates through a reverse-trade show format. The three-day event was a premier networking and educational conference with time to exchange with associates and other ConferenceDirect partners.
Meeting Industry Council (MIC) of Colorado Educational Conference and Trade Show (March 12-13, Denver, CO)

The MIC of Colorado is a coalition of professional organizations related to the meetings and events industry. The council’s purpose is to enhance collaboration among participating organizations through networking and education while being the main source for industry knowledge and consultation, as well as foster the continued growth of the meetings and event industry in Colorado.
Experient Envision (March 13-14, Las Vegas, NV)

Envision is Experient’s annual conference for its internal strategic account managers and sourcing managers from across the nation who handle accounts for national associations and corporations. Attending this conference exposes DDC to a group of key sourcing and account managers at Experient through networking opportunities and 14 one-on-one appointments over two days.
Southern California Sales Mission (March 18-22, various cities, CA)

Co-op Partners: Conrad by Hilton Washington DC, Hosts Global DC
DDC visits Southern California for a week of sales calls in San Diego, Orange County and the Los Angeles area. Targeted accounts include customers in both the corporate and association sectors, as well as select intermediary partners. Also, while in Southern California, DDC will join Hosts Global at two separate cherry blossom-themed client events (San Diego, Los Angeles) designed to promote Washington, DC to an even broader audience of planners.
PCMA Capital Chapter–2019 Mix ‘N Bowl (March 19, Washington, DC)

PCMA Capital Chapter’s Annual Mix ‘N Bowl offers bowling, bocce and great networking opportunities with clients. DDC and Events DC will host clients in a bowling tournament against other supplier-led teams as they play to win this year’s trophy.
CBI Pharma Forum 2019 (March 24-27, New York City, NY)

China Sales Mission (March 11-15, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing & Guangzhou, China)

DDC’s international convention sales is conducting its annual China sales mission in partnership with the tourism and communications teams. The week will incorporate stops in five cities to lead destination training seminars and meet with corporations and agencies that manage meetings and incentive travel programs. Target accounts include CYTS MICE, Grand China MICE, Herbal Life, Infinitus, Joymain and Sun Hope. Evening customer events in Beijing and Guangzhou will combine markets and feature the Discover the Real DC campaign to promote the vibrancy of Washington, DC for meetings and leisure travel.
