Hosting a local fitness event allows DDC to connect with top area clients and showcase the hospitality that DDC and our partners can provide to planners and their groups. The event encourages relationship building while showcasing unique venue and event ideas throughout DC.
Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Partner Summit (June 13-16, Cancun, Mexico)

The executive-level education with VIP networking and business development at the summit is by invitation only and raises funds to support the PCMA Education Foundation.
Meeting Professional International (MPI) World Education Congress (WEC) (June 15-18, Toronto, CA)

WEC is a premier event for meeting and event professionals, offering inspiring and innovative education, dynamic networking and business opportunities. Prior to the event, DDC will participate in MPI’s Hosted Buyer program, now in its 10th year.
Association Forum Honors Gala (June 20, Chicago, IL)

The gala is an evening celebration of Chicagoland associations. Last year, more than 600 people attended, including clients from associations throughout the Chicago area.
PCMA Educational Conference (PCMA EduCon) (June 25-28, Los Angeles, CA)

EduCon is an energetic and immersive program that attracts thought leaders, event marketers, experience designers and business event strategists from around the world. EduCon is known for its innovative approach to education—and small-group learning that builds lasting relationships. With no formal trade show or exhibit space, DDC (partnering with Events DC) differentiates itself through facilitation of on-site learning labs and offering access to industry leaders. More focused than Convening Leaders, EduCon is expected to draw around 800 participants.
International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Destination Marketing International Client/Supplier Business Workshop (June 13-15, Montreal, Canada)

This workshop joins ICCA member convention bureaus and international association customers for an educational forum, business exchange and networking program. Participating clients adhere to selection criteria and are senior decision-makers for international conferences that are actively looking for future host destinations.
Vancouver Sales Calls and International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Pre-Promote (June 17-21, Vancouver, Canada)

Combined with destination promotion and delegate boosting for the IADR General Session & Exhibition, DDC will conduct sales calls to global professional congress organizers (PCOs), association management companies and top site selection clients in Vancouver. In addition to sharing destination updates and highlighting DC’s Connected Capital campaign, DDC will complete an account review with the PCOs and identify future prospects for our city. DDC will meet with the following accounts: International Conference Services; Malachite Management; MCI Canada; Meeting Encore; Strategic Site Selection.
