National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
Founded in 1984, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that maintains the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, centered in the 400 block of E Street NW. Elegant marble walls display the names of more than 20,000 federal, state and local law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty dating back to 1791. Interactive video displays, free children's activity packet, gift shop, free walking tour brochures and maps are available at the Visitors Center Store, located at 400 7th Street NW and open daily until 5 pm. Memorial is open 24-hours. Free admission. Guided tours by appointment.
