Outdoor movies this spring
CiNoMatic, NoMa’s free outdoor movie series at Alethia Tanner Park, is returning for its sixth season this spring. Every Wednesday night from May 8 through June 5, the NoMa Business Improvement District (BID) will show free movies under the stars. The theme for the spring 2024 season is “Epic Expeditions." The scheduled movie series features a diverse lineup of adventure films as follows:
May 8:National Treasure
May 15: The Lost City
May 22: O Brother, Where Art Thou?
May 29: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
June 5: The Goonies with musical rescore by Shaolin Jazz, who will bring their unique and immersive “Can I Kick It?” concept blending hip hop, funk and soul tunes to create a live remix of the original Goonies soundtrack to fit the action on the screen.
CiNoMatic movies begin at sunset, with seating on the lawn at Alethia Tanner Park opening one hour prior to showtime. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is first come, first served. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners (NoMa restaurants are open for takeout). Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from local food truck partners. Dogs on-leash are welcome.
